Find a contemplative moment, close your eyes and ask God to explore the soil of your heart. Let him put the spade in and dig. Does the spade hit roots? stones? Is the ground hard? What is the stone? or root? 

Is there an offence?  A dissappointment or unfulfilled expectation?  Is there fear?  Can you imagine Jesus standing next to you?  What does He say about this thing?  Will you invite him to take it out? Can you accept that it may happen in the course of life as he digs with the shovel of circumstance? Will you notice his work?
